PetVet Lower Hutt is a busy referral veterinary clinic located in Lower Hutt, Wellington. Our Mission is to provide our clients and their pets with excellent veterinary service and quality pet products while delivering superior veterinary skills, technology and advice within a friendly caring environment.
We are now seeking applications from experienced Receptionists to join our team on a Casual basis. If you are interested in learning about companion animal nutrition as you support our vets and nurses, we would love to hear from you. Our shifts vary between 5-8 hours, with start times of 7:00am, 12:00pm or 2.30pm – flexibility is a must!
What we are looking for:
- Reception experience in a high-volume, fast paced environment
- Experience or study in the animal field is highly regarded
- Strong communication skills
- Confident and comfortable using computer software and following strict procedures
- Ability to maintain physical requirements of the job – heavy lifting and on feet for most of the shift, moving animals and cleaning
- Approachable, personable and empathetic with a passion for customer service
- Initiative, adaptability and able to prioritise without direct instruction
- The ability to work well within a team environment and work autonomously
